As a software house specialising in solutions for the utilities industry, our teams at Wheatley regularly monitor trends and changes in the markets. We then turn our attention to how we as a company can use changing trends and market situations. For example, in 2017 we conducted a piece of research into the awareness levels among SMEs of the new Open Water market, and what their perceptions are of the water market. As far as we are aware our research was the first piece done in this area following the deregulation of the water market for commercial premises. But we don't want to keep this sort of thing to ourselves, we want to share it with everyone.
That's why Wheatley Insights exists. It's our way of showing our interpretion of changing trends in the utilities industry, and other areas. One of our most recent projects we are sharing is PowerFull - a tool that helps the user identify their patterns of micro-generation and electricity consumption based on their individual profiles. A tool we feel could be useful in the future, when consumer demand calls for more information around micro-generation.
